In a high-temperature and high-humidity climate, the body heat of the chicks cannot be dissipated, and the feed intake decreases. In addition, the high-humidity environment is conducive to the reproduction of mold and coccidia, making the chicks prone to mold poisoning and coccidiosis. Therefore, farmers need to pay special attention to the humidity of the chicken house, which can neither be too low nor too high. The 10-day age is used as the dividing line: before 10 days of age, due to the small excretion of broilers and the high temperature of the chicken house, broilers have higher humidity requirements. If the humidity is high, the humidity needs to be increased. At this time, the relative humidity of the brooding house should be 60%-70%; after 10 days of age, the excretion of broilers is large, which is usually easy to cause too much humidity. At this time, broilers have higher humidity requirements At this stage, try to reduce the humidity through ventilation or other means, and the relative humidity of the brooding house should be 50%-60%.
How to control humidity:
1. Chicks generally need high humidity. Farmers can humidify by placing a water basin on the stove for temperature supply. It should not be humidified too much, nor should it be humidified by spraying water on the ground or walls. The humidity level can be checked by a hygrometer;
2. In the later stage of broiler rearing, the humidity of the chicken house can be reduced by replacing the bedding, heating up and increasing the ventilation, and preventing the overflow of water in the drinking water.
