Insulation of The Chicken House
Close all the gaps except the air inlet, and install materials with thermal insulation function.
People are so cold that they can add clothes, but chickens have no clothes, so they will choose to huddle together, and check the temperature in time when you find that the chickens are crowded together.

Ventilation
The airtightness of the chicken house will deteriorate the air environment, and the ammonia, carbon dioxide, methane, and skatole will multiply, and the dust and microorganisms will exceed the sanitary standards of the chicken house, which is prone to respiratory diseases.
Standardized chicken houses generally set the fan to run automatically according to the target house temperature and the minimum ventilation volume in the house; if there is no automatic equipment, the breeder needs to perform ventilation based on experience. Install air deflectors on the ventilation windows on both sides of the house to reduce the stimulation of the chickens by cold air.
Moisture
The moisture-proof and dehumidified chicken house will increase the humidity and the litter will be w
et, which is not good for the chicken feather growth and feet, reduces the feather insulation effect, and is not conducive to the insulation of the chicken house, so keep the chicken house dry. It can reduce the water consumption in the house, check the chicken body in time, remove the chicken manure, increase the ventilation rate when the outside temperature is suitable, and use a dehumidifier if necessary.
Feeding
1) Rational use of trace elements/anti-stress products
Under the stress state, the body's synthetic substances are insufficient, adding appropriate trace elements or anti-stress products can help to lay hens recover their body condition, reduce stress response, and maintain homeostasis.
For example, under cold stress, supplementing a certain amount of vitamin C can promote body growth; improve egg production and eggshell strength.

2) Feeding amount and formula adjustment
Properly increasing the feeding amount and energy ratio can reduce the adverse effects of low temperature on growth and egg production. Therefore, breeders need to pay attention to the weather forecast and adjust the feed formula flexibly.
For every 3°C drop in temperature, about 5 grams of feed should be added to the chicken, so that the chicken can get enough heat to maintain body temperature and production level. One day to two days before the cold wave comes; the feed amount can be increased by 10 grams to 20 grams per chicken for 3 to 5 days.
As appropriate, 1% oil can be added to the diet to increase the palatability of the feed, help the chickens resist cold, increase the egg weight, and improve the feed remuneration. Adding energy substances such as fats and oils can be combined with bile acids. Bile acid can promote its emulsification, digestion, and absorption, improve its utilization rate, improve eggshell quality, and reduce fat deposition in the liver to protect the health of chickens
Remember to restore the original feed dosage and control feed costs when the temperature rises.
