The brooding humidity is also very important. The normal breeding environment should be high in the front and low in the rear, but in practice, many chicken farms have the opposite, low in the front and high in the rear.
The early humidity is low, and chickens are susceptible to respiratory diseases. After many clinical investigations, the onset of air sacculitis and bronchial congestion is very much related to the low humidity of the chicken house.
A thermometer and hygrometer must be hung in the brooding chicken house, and the relative humidity in the first week of the chicken house should be controlled at 65% to 70%. The relative humidity in the 2nd week is 60%~65%, the relative humidity in the 3rd week is 55% to 60%, the 4th week, the relative humidity is 50~55%, and the relative humidity in the 5th week is 45~50% , Then keep 45~50% every week. In the early stage of brooding, the humidity will be lower, because it is at high temperature, as the age increases, the temperature will decrease, and the humidity will get better and better. The simplest method is spray humidification. You can also increase the humidity on the sprinkler wall. In the later period, the humidity will generally be high. During this period, the chicken manure should be cleaned up and ventilation should be strengthened to reduce the humidity in the chicken house.
Pay more attention to the control of light when brooding. Because the full feeding, drinking and activities of the chicks cannot be separated from the light, the light should be adjusted reasonably and there should be a suitable light program.
1. Airtight chicken house. For the first three days of the chicks, use a continuous lighting system of 23 to 24 hours a day. From the 4th day of age to the end of brooding, the light is constant for 8 to 9 hours a day.
2. Open chicken house, 3~7 days old before brooding, using 23~24 hours continuous light system every day, 2~18 weeks old, natural light can be used completely.
The light intensity must be controlled well. If the intensity is too strong, it will cause pecking, and if the intensity is too weak, the chicken will not eat enough.
1. The light intensity of chicks in a closed chicken house is 15-20 lux for 3 days, and it will be reduced to 1.5-2 lux after 3 days.
2. In an open chicken house, the night light intensity of the chicks is 15-20 lux for the first three days, and natural light is used during the day. After three days, the night light will be reduced to 1.5-2 lux.
The lighting fixtures should be evenly distributed in the chicken house without dead ends. A hood should be installed on the luminaire, and the dust on the luminaire should be cleaned regularly to keep the luminaire bright. Replace damaged bulbs in time to maintain effective light intensity.
